Cursed Castle Beyond the Winter Forest

Through the frosty winter forest, the towers and turrets of the cursed castle rise proudly, their silhouettes stark against the bare branches.

This atmospheric backdrop was originally designed for the opening of Act 2 in Beauty and the Beast. It appears just before the wolf chase, coming to life halfway through the Entr’acte as the haunting theme of "If I Can’t Love Her" plays. The imagery subtly mirrors the end of Act 1, when the Beast stood on one of these very balconies, pouring his heart out to the night. By cueing this projection with the music, the audience is transported back to that emotional moment while seeing the castle from a new perspective.
