The animated version of Siegfried's Gilded Ballroom adds a single, deliberate layer of life to the scene, gently flickering candlelight that breathes movement into the space without ever pulling focus from the stage.
The animation was designed with restraint as the guiding principle. The candles, chandeliers, and wall sconces carry a subtle, organic flicker that reads as natural light rather than digital effect. Audiences feel the room is alive without consciously registering why. This is movement used in service of atmosphere, not spectacle.
Each of the five animated lighting states mirrors its static counterpart, carrying the same dramatic arc from golden celebration through to fractured revelation. The 10 second animation loops seamlessly at 30 frames per second, allowing each state to run for as long as the production requires without visible repetition.
For productions running the five states in sequence across Act 3, the animations give the ballroom a living, breathing quality that deepens audience immersion throughout one of ballet's most emotionally demanding acts. Equally suited to opera and musical theatre requiring an animated grand interior.
